Scuba diving and snorkelling
Southern Corsica is renowned not only for its beaches but also for its underwater world. Around Porto-Vecchio and Bonifacio, protected areas, rocky islets and clear waters create highly sought-after conditions for both snorkelling (mask and snorkel) and scuba diving.A stay at the campsite lends itself particularly well to this 'sea and nature' lifestyle, allowing you to spend a morning at the beach with flippers, mask and snorkel, enjoy a supervised dive in the afternoon (or vice versa), and then spend a more relaxed evening at the campsite, in the shade or on the terrace, to recover.
The Cerbicale Islands
Classified as a nature reserve, the Cerbicale Islands are located directly opposite Palombaggia Beach. They can only be accessed by boat or sea kayak, and landing on the islands is strictly prohibited in order to protect nesting species. However, the area immediately around the islets offers excellent snorkelling opportunities.
The Strait of Bonifacio and the Lavezzi Islands
The International Marine Nature Park of the Straits of Bonifacio is one of the best-preserved marine areas in the Mediterranean. The Lavezzi Islands, which can be reached on an excursion from Bonifacio, boast exceptionally clear waters.
Diving centres
Several professional diving centres operate in the Porto-Vecchio area, offering introductory sessions, training courses and supervised outings for all levels.
